Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today that international players OL Nik Embernate, WR Darryl Surgent and DL Tracy Robertson have all signed with the Club.

OL Nikolas ‘Nik’ Embernate played four years at San Diego State and helped the Aztecs to back-to-back 2,000+ yard rushing seasons. A three-year starter, he played primarily at guard and earned the team’s Outstanding Freshman Award in his first season. He spent time with the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers immediately after college.
WR Darryl Surgent re-signs with the Argonauts after spending time on the team’s practice roster in 2014. He joined Toronto from the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) where he dressed in three pre-season games. Surgent played four years at Louisiana-Lafayette where he was a dual threat at receiver and kick returner. As a senior, he caught 31 passes for 400 yards and five touchdowns on offence, and was named First-Team All-Sun Belt as a return specialist.
DL Tracy Robertson played four years at Baylor from 2008 until 2011 where he started on the Bears’ defensive line as a junior and senior. He has since gained pro experience with the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears in the NFL. Coming out of high school, he was rated as one of the top defensive linemen in the state of Texas.
