Argos Tickets to Pre-Season Game at Varsity Stadium Now Available
TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts are pleased to announce that tickets for the team’s 2015 CFL pre-season opener at historic Varsity Stadium on Tuesday, June 9 vs. the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are now available. Kickoff will be at 7:30 pm EST.
This marks the third straight year the Argonauts will play a pre-season game at Varsity Stadium, which served as the team’s home field from 1916-1958, as they hosted the Montreal Alouettes in 2013 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2014. The Boatmen won both matchups, and will look to continue their winning ways against Winnipeg in June.
Varsity Stadium holds a rich history between the two franchises, as it played host to the 38th Grey Cup in November of 1950, known as the “Mud Bowl,” which the Argonauts won over the Blue Bombers by a score of 13-0.
