WEBER CANADA SIGNS ON AS OFFICIAL GRILL OF THE TORONTO ARGONAUTS
Toronto – Weber-Stephen Canada Co. and the Toronto Argonauts Football Club are pleased to announce a comprehensive marketing agreement that will see the world’s premier manufacturer of charcoal, gas and electric grills and grilling accessories become the official Grill of the Double Blue.
Commented Toronto Argonauts Sr. Vice President, Business Operations, David Bedford, “Football and grills are meant to be together. Weber is a global leader of grills and accessories and their products have become synonymous with the game day rituals of our biggest fans. We are thrilled to welcome Weber to our roster of partners and see them become an even more important part of our fans’ game day experience.”
Through this agreement, Weber will receive powerful in-stadium presence through more than 80 yards of LED signage and ribbon board wrap around Rogers Centre. They will become the title sponsor of the Weber Red Zone so that each time the Argos’ offenceenters the opponent’s red zone the Weber logo will be illuminated on the big screen and an announcement will be played reminding fans to get behind the scoring drive. During each game, fans will also have an opportunity to win various Weber prizes through in-game promotions including a “Text to Win” feature.
Online, fans will be encouraged to “Share Their Unserious Times” amplifying their “Serious Grills for Unserious Times” campaign through the team’s award winning social channels for a chance to win a trip to the Weber Grill Academy. Moreover, at the Weber Tailgate before the Argonauts’ home opener on August 8 a select number of fans will have the opportunity to attend a private grilling demonstration with acclaimed Chef Michael P. Clive of the Weber Grill Academy. Chef Clive will treat the group to an exciting grilling experience! Weber will also receive preferred space online at argonauts.ca and on ArgosTV throughout the season.
