Argonauts Add Jordan Younger To Coaching Staff

Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club has named former CFL All-Star and two-time Grey Cup Champion, Jordan Younger to the team’s coaching staff as Defensive Backs Coach.
 
Commented Head Coach Scott Milanovich, “Jordan is a bright, young coach who played the game at a high level for many years. I believe he will relate well to our players and they will learn a great deal from his experience and knowledge of the game.”
 
Younger enjoyed a 12-year professional football career, nine of which were in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts (2004-07, 09-12) and Edmonton Eskimos (2008). As an Argonaut, the three-time East Division All-Star and two-time CFL All-Star was a fan-favourite and a leader on the field amongst his peers. Younger won two Grey Cup championships in the Double Blue in 2004 and 2012. He was voted the Argonauts’ Defensive Captain in what was his final season as a player when he helped the team hoist the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto.
 
Born in New Jersey, Jordan Younger played his college ball at the University of Connecticut. He began his pro football career with the Arizona Cardinals before starring for three seasons in Europe with the Amsterdam Admirals and Rhein Fire. He also spent time with the Washington Redskins and the AFL’s Indiana Firebirds.
 
Younger’s has gained valuable coaching experience with the Ontario Football Conference’s Oakville Titans, in the CIS for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues, and works to develop today’s up-and-coming football stars as the Executive Director of the International Developmental Fast Football League (IDFFL).
