After
falling just short of stealing a win from the CFL’s premiere squad, the
Saskatchewan Roughriders, last Sunday, the Boatmen return to action just 5 days
later as they host the 1-4 Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

As
disappointing as Winnipeg’s year has been so far, they may have pulled out a
season-altering win over the high-powered Calgary Stampeders last week.
After beginning 0-4, the Bombers turned to sophomore QB Ryan Dinwiddie to take
the reins from an ineffective Kevin Glenn and all the Boise State product did
was pass for 450 yards and engineer a remarkable touchdown drive in the game’s
final minute. Diniwiddie will have one of the CFL’s greatest receivers
back in the lineup as Milt Stegall makes his 2008 debut Friday night versus the
Boatmen.

Both
Dinwiddie and Stegall will have to be cognizant of Argos All-Star DS Orlondo
Steinauer
who always seems to elevate his play versus the Blue
Bombers. In fact, 13 of his 49 career interceptions have come against the
Bombers.

The
Boatmen enter the contest winners of 3 straight regular season games versus
Winnipeg and are looking to build off their 23-16 win over their division
rivals in Week 1 at Canad Inns Stadium.

The
Argos will field virtually the same lineup as they did versus the ‘Riders last
Sunday with the only change coming in the backfield as RB Bryan Crawford returns to the lineup after missing last game with an injury. As a
result, CB Delroy Clarke has been placed back on the club’s practice
roster.
