What to Look For:

– This will be Don Matthews’ first game as Head Coach of the Argos since the 1998 East Semi-

– The Argos haven’t lost to Winnipeg since August 24, 2007, four (4) straight wins, when they fell to the Bombers 15-13 at Canad Inns Stadium.

– Three of the last four wins have been at RogersCentre.

– Toronto is 6-2-0 in its last eight home games and 7-3-0 in its last ten home games.

– Toronto is 5-2-0 in home games against East Division opponents dating back to 2007.

Preview:

It seems what’s old is new again for the Boatmen – the Argos will sport their 1950’s retro jerseys as Don Matthews returns to the sidelines for the first time in 10 years as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers come to town.

The Argos are coming off a demoralizing loss to the hands of Matthews’ previous team the Montreal Alouettes, while the Bombers are trying to bounce back after a last-second loss to the league-leading Saskatchewan Roughriders.

In addition to dropping the game, the Argos have also appeared to have lost the services of four key contributors last Sunday as DT Adrian Davis, OT Jerome Davis, DE Riall Johnson and DB Chuck Winters will all be sidelined this week with aches and pains.

As a result, DE Ray Fontaine will return to the lineup and will be joined on the active roster by rookie DB Delroy Clarke and newcomer OT Kenyatta Walker. After spending numerous seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, OT Jonta Woodard joined the Argos this week and will replace Jerome Davis at the backside tackle position.

Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. at Rogers Centre. To purchase tickets, call 416-341-ARGO or CLICK HERE to purchase online.
