The Dynamic Duo of Condredge Holloway and Joe Barnes, who carried the Argonauts to arguably the biggest championship in Toronto’s history, will be on air with Mike Hogan on Thursday, November 27 at 10:40 a.m. ET – exaclty 25-years after they teamed up to win the 1983 Grey Cup championship in Vancouver.
On November 27, 1983 the Argonauts ended a 30-year championship drought and brought the Grey Cup trophy back to Toronto. The Boatmen played in, and hosted (at Exhibition stadium), the big game in 1982 but could not defeat the powerful Edmonton Eskimos.
One season later, they surged to a 12-4-0 regular season record, led by 1982 CFL Most Outstanding Player Condredge Holloway and clutch backup Joe Barnes to name a few, and all the way to B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver. The Argos defeated the heavily favoured Lions 18-17 when Barnes hit RB Cedric Minter to win the title.
Fans can listen in live on the radio or visit FAN590.com and stream it through the internet.
