The Stats Sheet: Week 3

Throughout the year, argonauts.ca will take a look at some of the statistical leaders following each game and compare how they match up against both their teammates and the rest of the Canadian Football League.

QUARTERBACK SACKS – DT Kevin Huntley

 

DT Kevin Huntley had another solid game against an evolving Calgary offensive line, registering his third sack in as many weeks.  The towering 6-foot-7, 294-pound interior defensive lineman also added two tackles and is currently tied with Hamilton’s Otis Floyd for second in the CFL in quarterback sacks.

RUSHING YARDS – RB Cory Boyd

 

After a quiet first week in the Argos backfield, rookie RB Cory Boyd has been extremely difficult to take down after initial contact.  The bruising back has put up 251 yards and one touchdown in the last two weeks, including an impressive 142-yard performance Wednesday against the Stampeders.

DEFENSIVE TACKLES – DE Ronald Flemons

 

Defensive end Ronald Flemons put together his most solid outing of this early campaign racking up five defensive tackles from the rush end spot.  The Texas A&M product also got to Calgary Stampeders quarterback Henry Burris once for his first sack of the season.
