Pile: Down To Business

Day 2:

Taking advantage of a great day weather-wise, we hit the practice field at Centennial Park & did our best to make the work day as normal as possible. The focus and intensity was there as the crowd of 30 or so spectators quickly grew to well over 100 as practice went along. The highlight of our first day of practice was the minor football players serving as assistant coaches, shadowing our staff from warm-ups through team drills.

As I mentioned yesterday, bringing the CFL to Moncton allows us to expose the youth to the daily hard work, dedication & enthusiasm it takes to achieve a goal of playing professional football. I say “goal” instead of “dream” because to get to this level, it does begin with a dream which frames the goals you have in life. Then you have to work hard toward those goals you’ve set for yourself while creating new dreams.

Today, we’ll go back to Centennial Park for a full practice, then blitz the Moncton community with Argos player appearances, spreading a message of teamwork & anti-bullying while building the buzz for the Sunday’s game!
