The Stats Sheet: Week 15

Throughout the year, argonauts.ca will take a look at some of the statistical leaders following each game and compare how they match up against both their teammates and the rest of the Canadian Football League.

RUSHING YARDS – RB Cory Boyd

 

Running back Cory Boyd was once again the Argos’ most consistent player on Saturday versus the Riders.  The bruising back continues to add to his already impressive season totals by generating another 131 yards on the ground on 21 carries.  He also added 4 receptions for 12 yards.

DEFENSIVE TACKLES – S Willie Pile

 

Veteran safety Willie Pile was all over the field on Saturday, recording four defensive tackles and one quarterback sack.  Perhaps more importantly, Pile was a menace on the safety blitz forcing Saskatchewan QB Darian Durant to have to either try and escape the pocket or force throws.  Despite not leading his team, Pile sits 8th in the CFL with 63 defensive tackles.

QUARTERBACK SACKS – DE Ronald Flemons

 

Veteran defensive end Ronald Flemons continues to build on a career year.  The five-year Argo sustained a consistent pass rush on Durant all afternoon and finished the day with 1 DT, 1 QB sack and 2 crucial knockdowns at the line of scrimmage.
