After signing with the Argos as a free agent on Friday, argonauts.ca explores the career of S Wes Lysack in the latest edition of By The Numbers:

1 July 1/03 the day Lysack recorded his first career tackle against Ottawa.

3 Number of tackles recorded in Calgary’s 2008 Grey Cup victory.

5 Drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round, fifth overall, in the 2003 CFL Canadian Draft.

8 Age of Lysack’s son, Wes Lysack Jr.

8 Number of years Lysack has played in the CFL, 2011 will be his ninth.

1/4 Quarter Finalist in a contest to receive a $2000 grant for his charity efforts last season.

10 Defensive tackles recorded in 2000 while playing for Rutgers University Scarlet Knights. He also blocked a punt, intercepted two passes returned a fumble and forced a fumble in his only season playing in the NCAA.

18 Sept. 18/09, while playing against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, he picked off a pass and recorded the first sack of his CFL career.
