Ricky Ray Named Offensive Player Of The Week For The Second Time In 2014

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club would like to congratulate QB Ricky Ray who has been named CFL Offensive Player of the Week for his performance during a thrilling 17-point comeback win against Hamilton. It was the second biggest comeback win in club history (25 points in 1994) en route to a 34-33 victory.

Ray is coming off a home win against Hamilton when he threw for 431 yards and three (3) touchdowns while completing 34 of 46 passes (73.9%).  He also added three (3) rushes for six (6) yards and his first rushing touchdown of the 2014 season.  With his effort on Friday, Ray now sits first in the CFL in total passing yards (3,861) and passing touchdowns (27), and is also first in the CFL in completion percentage at 68.6%.

Ray has previously earned CFL Offensive Player of the Week honours four (4) times as a member of the Toronto Argonauts. Once during 2012, twice in 2013 and he has already received a nod this season in a week two (2) win against Saskatchewan.
