ARGONAUTS.CA STAFF

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts are in the thick of a playoff race and this week’s game on Saturday, October 25 at 4:00 p.m. against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Rogers Centre will help dictate the final standings in the East Division. Presented by Nissan, a win this week would not only provide important playoff position for Toronto but also give the Argonauts the Ballard Cup – the trophy awarded annually to the team that wins the head-to-head series between these two bitter rivals.

Argos Football, presented by Desjardins, has three crucial games ahead starting with this week’s home matchup versus the Ticats. The last time these two clubs met the Double Blue produced a thrilling last-minute comeback win when CFL passing leader Ricky Ray connected with receiver Chad Owens on a 69-yard touchdown.  The Argonauts are winners of 3 of their past 4 games and boast a winning record (4-3) when playing at home in 2014.
