VIDEO: Yurichuk Comments on his Big Game Against Hamilton |
Slaton is coming off his best game, statistically, in the CFL. He led the Boatmen in both rushing and receiving with five (5) receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown through the air, while also adding 16 carries for 80 yards on the ground. His 16 carries were a season high for any Argos running back and his 22-yard reception early in the first quarter was instrumental in securing the Argos a win and the tiebreaker over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. This is Slaton’s first player of the week award.
Fresh off signing a contract extension with the Double Blue, James Yurichuk was all over the field against Hamilton racking up two (2) defensive tackles, one (1) special teams tackle, and one (1) interception. He ended the game by collecting his first career quarterback sack on the final play of regulation to secure the win for the Argonauts. This is Yurichuk’s first player of the week award as a member of the Argos, and the second for his career (2012).
