TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce it has agreed to terms with 2010 CFL Draft Pick, national LB Cory Greenwood.

Commented Argonauts’ General Manager Jim Barker, “Cory was a top prospect when we drafted him in the first round in 2010 out of Concordia University. He has since spent three years as a professional football player and we are excited to see the type of player he has become and how he will be able to contribute to our team.”

Jim Barker and the Argonauts selected Cory Greenwood with the third overall choice in the 2010 CFL Draft. Greenwood was then invited to Kansas City Chiefs training camp and immediately earned an active roster spot. He went on to play 48 games for the Chiefs and amassed 35 total tackles, primarily on special teams. He was released by the Chiefs before the 2013 season and eventually signed with the Detroit Lions before coming to Toronto.

Born in Kingston, Ontario, Greenwood attended Notre Dame C.S.S. and upon graduation he enrolled at Concordia University. He played for the Stingers from 2006-09 and, as a senior, earned the President’s Trophy as the best defensive football player in the CIS.

The Toronto Argonauts also announced that DB Harold Mutabola has been removed from the club’s practice roster.
