TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce it has signed international WR Mike Thomas.
Drafted in the 4th round (107th overall) in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Thomas played in 71 games (starting 32) over six seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans. He totalled 176 receptions for 1,796 yards and 7 touchdowns, adding 34 rushes for 268 yards and also returned 29 kicks for 690 yards and 76 punts for 620 yards and one (1) touchdown. His best season came in 2010 when he had 66 receptions for 820 yards and 4 touchdowns as a member of the Jaguars.
Thomas played his entire college career at Arizona where he played in 48 games totalling 259 receptions for 3,231 yards and 22 touchdowns, adding 45 rushes for 395 yards and three (3) touchdowns and returning 41 kicks for 963 yards and 30 punt returns for 391 yards.
