Toronto – After travelling more than 29,000 KM over the span of six weeks, and visiting five Canadian cities to start the regular season, the Argonauts finally return to Toronto this Saturday night for their 2015 Home Opener, presented by Desjardins.

Argos fans will see the Shaw CFL Top Performer of the Month for July, QB Trevor Harris, in live action. The Argos sport a winning record backed by a dynamic offence led by Harris and a trio of budding first-year receiving stars in Kevin Elliott, Vidal Hazelton and Tori Gurley who have all taken the CFL by storm. The defence is led by second-year linebackers Cory Greenwood and Greg Jones, as well strong secondary play by first year CFL defensive backs AJ Jefferson and Devin Smith.

Fans should arrive to Gate 11 starting at 5:00 p.m. for the Pre-Game Tailgate Party, presented by Weber. The tailgate is licensed and Weber chefs will demonstrate appropriate grilling techniques as fans enjoy beer and food that will be available for purchase. Entrance to the tailgate is free.

The Double Blue officially begin their final regular season at Rogers Centre on Saturday night. A video series highlighting 26 Years of Rogers Centre Memories will be shown at each of the final eight regular season home games. Fans can always expect an entertaining game presentation and this year is no different. There are a number of other engaging, fun and new promotions that will continue to inspire lasting moments for all those at this year’s home games.

Upon entry, fans can expect to receive a special Desjardin Noise Maker. The national anthem will be performed by Kate Sirls, and the ceremonial coin toss will be performed by representatives from Desjardins. The entrance tunnel will be lined with players from Niagara Regional Minor Football Association, who will also play a game on the field during pre-game, as well as members of this year’s Jr. Cheer Team.

The 2015 Argos Cheerleaders Swimsuit Calendar, presented by RedTag.ca, will be on-sale during the pre-game tailgate party and throughout the game on the concourse. Fans can purchase their very own copy for just $20 from any of the beautiful and talented members of the Argos Cheerleaders, presented by the Toronto Sun.

A few lucky fans in attendance will be invited to the field to participate in the Desjardins Bubble Ball competition at halftime. Members of the Jr. Cheer squad will also perform during halftime. And proceeds from the night’s 50/50 will benefit Children’s Peace Theatre.
