TORONTO – The Canadian Football League announced today that Toronto Argonauts quarterback Trevor Harris has been named a “Shaw CFL Top Performer of the Week” following his performance vs. the Ottawa REDBLACKS in Week 16.

Harris completed 32-of-44 passes (72.7%) for a career-high 397 yards and five touchdowns, to five different receivers,  to catapult the Boatmen to a 38-35 victory over the REDBLACKS on October 6 at TD Place. His five touchdown passes marked the first time a CFL quarterback has done so since Henry Burris on September 28, 2012 and was also the first time an Argonauts quarterback has thrown for five majors in a single-game since Kerry Joseph in 2008.

The fourth-year Argonauts pivot currently leads the CFL in completion percentage (72.1), touchdown passes (31), and touchdown passes in a single-game (5) while ranking third in 300-yard games (5) and passing yards (3,782).

Harris has now been honoured as a CFL Top Performer of the Week on three occasions this season while also being named the CFL Top Performer of the Month in June/July. He earned weekly recognition along with Hamilton QB Jeff Mathew and BC Lions WR Emmanuel Arceneaux. The three players were chosen by a panel of judges including former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

The Toronto Argonauts next game, which was originally scheduled to be played in Toronto on Saturday, October 17 against the Calgary Stampeders, has been moved to Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, ON. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET (TSN, ESPN3, TSN Radio 1050). Tickets are available by visiting ticketmaster.ca or by calling 416-341-ARGO (2746).
