Toronto – The Argos
Foundation, in partnership with The Canadian Safe Schools Network and
Tim Hortons, will continue to tackle the problem of bullying in local
schools as it hosts its second annual Huddle Up Bullying Prevention
Student Summit.
On Tuesday, May 13, Argos players Andre Durie, Raymond Fontaine, Orlondo Steinauer, and Chuck Winters,
presenting partner Tim Hortons’ store owners, and The Argos Foundation
will lead the three-day summit for students from 34 different GTA
schools. The students will discuss various ways to prevent bullying
through interactive seminars, and brainstorm ideas to keep their
schools safe and improve the safety of their learning environment.
Jason Colero, Manager,
Community Relations, Toronto Argonauts, remarked, “It’s a great thing
to empower youth at an annual event such as the Huddle Up Student
Summit to discuss the issue of bullying and its solutions with Argos
players, cheerleaders and program partners.”
