OT Jerome Davis
|
Mississauga – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club
is pleased to welcome back former East Division All-Star OT Jerome
Davis, DB Kenny Heatly and DE Seante Williams.
Davis
spent the majority of the 2007 campaign with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats
before returning to Toronto as a free agent in time to start at left
tackle for the Boatmen in the East Final versus Winnipeg. Prior to
joining the ‘Cats, Davis spent two seasons (2005-2006) with the
Argonauts, starting 30 games at right tackle and earning East Division
All-Star honours in 2006.
A
native of Detroit, Michigan, Davis began his CFL career with the
Calgary Stampeders in 2000 as a defensive lineman and later joined the
San Fransisco 49ers of the NFL and the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europa.
Davis played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers and was
teammates with fellow Argo Arland Bruce III.

CB Kenny Heatly
|
Heatly
will begin his second stint with the Argonauts in 2008 after joining
the club for training camp in 2006. He spent a portion of the 2004
season with the Detroit Lions of the NFL after a successful career as a
member of the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. His most notable campaign with
the Wildcats came in 2003 when he was named to the Second-Team All
Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference team after leading the club with 21
knockdowns.
Williams
re-joins the Argos after a stint with the club in July 2006. The
veteran rush end spent last season with the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL
Europa where he helped lead them to a World Bowl championship. Hamburg
was Williams’ second stop in NFLE after a 2005 season that saw him
record 25 DT, 5 QB sacks and 2 INT in 10 games with the Frankfurt
Galaxy. Prior to being allocated to Frankfurt, the 6-foot-6-inch
defensive lineman spent time with the Green Bay Packers and
Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL after a standout college career that
was divided among Jacksonville State, Southern Mississippi and
Coffeyville Community College.
The club also announced the signing of NIP DT
Adrian Davis. Davis played university football with both Concordia
University (CIS) and Marshall University (NCAA).
