– The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce its 2008
home schedule. As the Double Blue begin their quest to represent the
East in the Grey Cup Championship, the 2008 home schedule features many
East Division rivalry games, a vast array of dates and regular
intervals between games.
The 2008 season kicks off with the Boatmen taking
on their nemesis – the Hamilton Tiger-Cats
– on Thursday, July 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Rogers Centre. The team brings
its fans a Friday Night Football mid-season melee against the reigning
East champs the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on September 12. Saturday,
October 18 at 3:00 p.m. should be a grudge-match to remember when the
Montreal Alouettes come to town and the regular season ends with the
Argos taking on the 2007 Grey Cup Champion Saskatchewan Roughriders on
Thursday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.

COO of the Toronto Argonauts, commented on the 2008 schedule. “The
countdown is on for the 2008 home opener which we plan to make a night
to remember. Many games will feature pre-game streetfests and we are
also planning games that reflect on our storied history and celebrate
our wonderful Argos fans. I am truly excited for what we are building
both on and off the field in 2008.”
