Mississauga – CFL Training Camps officially open today and the Argos have added former NFL CB DeJuan Groce to their roster.
A former fourth round
draft pick of the St. Louis Rams, Groce dressed in 42 games with 20
starts at defensive back over three seasons. A hardworking and speedy
player, he was also featured on the special teams unit as both a
returner and coverage specialist. He most recently played with the New
Orleans Saints, primarily on special teams.
Groce was an excellent
kick returner for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, finishing his career with 5
kick return touchdowns, including 4 as a senior. He started 27 games
over four seasons at defensive back and was named First-Team
All-American as a returner in his senior season.
