Toronto Argonauts veterans reported for training camp today, eager and ready to get on the field. While Byron Parker, Khalil Carter and Andre Durie have been regular spectators at rookie mini-camp others, like 2007 team M.O.P. Jonathan Brown, are arriving in Toronto for the first time in months.

New father LB Willie Pile,
who finished fifth in the CFL in tackles last season, proudly handed
around a pocket sized photo album of his baby son Jaylen. Pile was then
ushered off to his medical examination where he was introduced to the
“Bod Pod”. It’s a device developed by former Argo Sandy Annunziata
which calculates body composition levels, including lean muscle tissue
and body fat percentage. Players are enclosed in a chamber and
monitored using a series of sensors that monitor air displacement.
Every player participated, Pile volunteered to be photographed.
The big news of the
day was the return of former Argo Mike Vanderjagt. Although he was not
spotted at the practice facility today, he will be on the upper field
with the entire team for their first full practice at 3:00 p.m.
The day wrapped up
with a mandatory team meeting in one of the school lecture halls.
Owners David Cynamon and Howard Sokolowski, as well as executives, the
coaching staff and personnel addressed the players.
