As the Argos prepare to kick off their quest for the 2008
Grey Cup in Winnipeg on Friday, players and coaches received the ultimate
sendoff when fans filled Yonge and Dundas Square as the club introduced their
2008 squad to the public.
Every player was introduced, wearing their jersey on stage and
were accompanied by members of local minor football clubs who one day dream of
donning the double blue.
Prior to the unveiling of the 2008 team, fans were treated
to performances by the Argos Cheerleaders and had the opportunity to mix and
mingle with alumni and fellow double blue supporters.
The Argos will now head to Winnipeg Thursday morning to take
on the Blue Bombers before returning to host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Rogers
Centre in the home opener on July 3rd.
