The Toronto Argonauts Football Club would like to congratulate its defensive captain Mike O’Shea on becoming the CFL’s second-leading tackler all-time. Entering Friday’s game, O’shea needed two tackles to surpass Alondra Johnson to move into second and he ended with five! His total inclduded a jaw-jarring sack on Kevin Glenn on Winnipeg’s 15-yard line.
Mike O’Shea is now in 2 nd place on the CFL’s all-time chart for Defensive Tackles. O’Shea currently sits at 1,088 for his career, and is the only Canadian player in CFL history to reach the 1000+ club. He is in second place ahead and Alondra Johnson (1,084 tackles) and behind Willie Pless (1,241 tackles).
