Argos Kickoff August Long Weekend Against Blue Bombers

Instead
of packing up the family and heading out of town early for the long weekend,
avoid the traffic and head downtown to watch the Toronto Argonauts take on the Winnipeg
Blue Bombers, presented by Popeyes Chicken & Seafood, this Friday,
August 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Rogers Centre.

Get
to the stadium early and check out the Generation A Kids Zone, outside
Gate 11, featuring the RONA fantasy football inflatable.

This
game marks the first of six straight games for the Argos against East Division opponents and could setup a crucial second-half for the Boatmen.

The more the better, because with the help of
their 13^th man, the fans, the Argos have won 6 of their last 8
regular season games at Rogers Centre. Toronto
has won its last three straight regular season contests against Winnipeg and the Argos are 7-3-0 in
their last ten regular season games against the Blue Bombers at Rogers Centre.

An
Argos win will
keep them on top of the division and will mark the club’s 100^th win since moving to Rogers Centre in 1989. This will also be Toronto-native
Andre Talbot’s 100^th CFL game – all in Double Blue.

The
new home of the Argos’
official post game party is Jack Astor’s, 144 Front Street West.  Following
each home game, the party will feature live music, drink specials and the
opportunity to meet your favourite Argos
players and cheerleaders.
