Learning From The Pros

The Toronto Argonauts hosted their 2008 Fantasy Football Camp for those who opted in to become Early
Bird Season Ticket Holders following the 2007 season.

Held at the Argos UTM practice facility, the day began with
a speech from Argos CEO Michael “Pinball”
Clemons
and a group stretch led by Argos LB Michael Fletcher and OT Jerome
Davis
.

Following the stretch, football camp attendees broke out
into 6 different stations where current Argos ran drills, answered questions
and offered tutorials on the fundamentals of their respective positions.

The three offensive drills, consisting of throwing,
catching, play calling, blocking and rushing, were led by quarterbacks Michael Bishop and Kerry Joseph, Davis and RB Jamal
Robertson
.

Attacking the line of scrimmage, recognizing the tendencies
of an offensive lineman and accelerating off the line to get to the quarterback
was the theme in drills led by defenders Jonathan
Brown
and Fletcher while P/K Mike
Vanderjagt
led a lesson on how to effectively kick field goals.

Following the drills, fans were greeted by Head Coach Rich
Stubler and enjoyed lunch where they were able to meet, greet and receive
autographs from their favourite Argos players, coaches and cheerleaders.
