Argonauts Football Club is mourning the loss of one of its most versatile
players ever in alumnus Bruce Richardson.
Richardson
played two seasons with the Double Blue from 1945-1946, winning a Grey Cup
championship in both seasons. Following his football career, Richardson
became an amateur middleweight boxing champion who would eventually turn pro,
act in movies and work as a reporter for the Globe and Mail before becoming
involved in real estate for 30 years.

Goodwill ambassador and close friend of Richardson, Leo Cahill, commented,
“Anyone who knew Bruce, knew him as a character. He was a fun-loving
jokester who was extremely caring and felt fortunate about his time with the
Argos. He was just one of those guys that everyone wanted to be around
all of the time”.
