The battle to earn a playoff spot is on as Kerry Joseph is poised to start for the Toronto Argonauts as they take on CFL sack leaders the BC Lions this Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rogers Centre. The game, presented by Bowmans.net, will also feature TSN’s international award-winning million-dollar giveaway, Wendy’s Kick for a Million, hosted by the CFL on TSN panel, as one finalist will attempt to split the uprights from the 50-yard line in hopes of winning $1 million.
Friday’s game will also help benefit SickKids Foundation, one of the Toronto Argonauts’ key charitable partners. Patients from the hospital will be in attendance and will perform game functions including the fan tunnel and the tee grab for kicker Mike Vanderjagt. As well, Sick Kids Foundation will be the beneficiary of the night’s 50/50 draw. To raise money for his own Big Kiss Fund to benefit Sick Kids Foundation, defensive tackle Adriano “The Kissing Bandit” Belli will be performing the national anthem. The festivities will continue at the official post-game party at Jack Astor’s, 144 Front Street West featuring live music, drink specials and the opportunity to meet your favourite Argos players and cheerleaders.
