The motto of Jamaica reads: Out of many one people. To me that means out of a diverse group there is a united front, a statement that could not be truer when I think about the Toronto Argonauts.
Out of a group that ranges from the fans all the way to the coaches and players on the field-out of many, we are one people. Argonauts fans are a diverse group consisting of people from every walk of life and young to old.
This is my first year with the Argos Cheerleaders and I could not have asked for a more rewarding experience and there is still so much more to come. I am surrounded by a fantastic and brilliant group of women.
The Argonauts have made me feel like an integral part of their united front in their quest for the Grey Cup and their strong presence in the community. When we are put together, the roaring fans and the exuberant cheerleaders-out of many, we are an unstoppable expression of support.
As I look up each game into the sea of passionate fans, I can see and feel the positive response echo throughout the stadium. It is that view from the ground that it is clear that the Argonauts do something not many teams in any sport arenas can do. Out of many-from the cheerleaders, to the players, to the staff and to the fans-we truly become one people; one united support system.
Throughout the 135 years that the Argonauts have been in existence, it is clear even today that one thing has never changed. The true passion and love for this Canadian game. Out of the many faces that have made the Argonauts organization into what it is…out of many, we will always be one people.
