For the final home game of 2008, the Toronto Argonauts Football Club will be honouring its 13th man for Fan Appreciation Day, presented by Nissan. Three lucky fans will compete at halftime for the chance to win a brand new 2009 Gridiron Edition Nissan Titan. In celebration of Fan Appreciation Day, the first 10,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive an Argos t-shirt courtesy of Nissan and THE FAN 590.
The Double Blue will take on the 2007 Grey Cup Champion Saskatchewan Roughriders on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Rogers Centre. As part of the Argos new partnership with the Toronto District School Board to help support and grow grassroots football in the GTA, Rogers Centre will also play host to a TDSB football game earlier in the day. TDSB Football All-Stars will also be a part of player introductions as the Boatmen make their way onto the field before battling the Riders. In addition to many giveaways taking place in the stadium and on the concourse, 13 lucky Argos season ticket holders will receive the jerseys off the backs of Argos players after the game.
Following the game, Boatmen supporters can head down to the field and get some player and cheerleader autographs during See You on the Field. Have members of the Argos Cheerleaders sign their new 2009 calendar. The festivities will continue at the official post-game party at Jack Astor’s, 144 Front Street West featuring live music, drink specials and the opportunity to meet your favourite Argos players and cheerleaders.
