While the win column is overflowing for the Scottsdale Argos club, Jason has also had a run of success in his high school coaching role. For the last two years he has been the Head Coach for the freshman team at Scottsdale Saguara High School. When their season finishes, he becomes an assistant for the varsity team. Jason is also head coach at a high school located on the nearby native reservation, Salt River High School.
As head coach for the freshman team, Jason has posted an impressive record. He lost his first game before cruising through the rest of the season undefeated. His second year began where the previous year ended, winning the first eight games of the season before losing his starting QB and RB to injuries in the penultimate game of the season versus their arch rivals.
When the freshman season finishes, he moves over to assist on the varsity team where, over the last two years, the team has amassed a 33-game undefeated streak including two state championship titles.
Jason only recently began coaching at Salt River High School. He was promoted after a season spent tutoring the receivers and, like every where else, he just keeps winning. In his first season as head coach, Salt River qualified for the state playoffs and had a player named to the All-State team. Both were firsts in the high school’s history.
