Due to weather conditions, the Argos practiced indoors today as Coach Andrus took the team through a walk-through practice. The Boatmen continued to work on punt protection, an area Coach Andrus has stressed since Wednesday’s pre-season game. It is an area the coach feels can only get better with the regular season coming up in less than two weeks.
Meanwhile, WR Reggie McNeal and WR Tyler Scott kept things light by trading jerseys in practice. LB Kevin Eiben took the lead on defence calling out directions for his teammates. Had the practice been outdoors, DE Jonathan Brown could have easily sacked QB Kerry Joseph when he broke through the offensive linemen. WR Kenny Higgins and SB Arland Bruce worked with what they had with several nice catches in tight space. GM Adam Rita was also in attendance and was found giving pointers to WR Kenny O’Neal and CB Alphonso Hodge.
The Argos continue their preparation for Tuesday’s pre-season game against Hamilton with practice Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.
