The Argonauts held their last full practice before their next pre-season game in Hamilton on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00 p.m.
Quarterbacks were completing nice long passes including a couple to WR Arland Bruce and WR James Robinson during skelly. WR Hank Edwards showed off his skill making a nice over-the-shoulder catch from Cody Pickett.
The defence was also making some nice plays; DB Jason Shivers broke up a short pass intended for WR Matt Lambros. Speaking of defence, All-Time Argo Don Moen and his son, Conor, stopped by practice today. Conor is going to suit up for the Queen’s Gaels next season as a linebacker.
While skelly was going on, K/P Eddie Johnson practiced his arm strength against the throwing net. Impressively enough, he hit his first toss and three throws later, he hit it again! No word yet if the Argos are going to a four quarterback system…
NOTES: Some of the Argo dads were surprised by their families during practice on Fathers’ Day. Jonta Woodard’s two young children, Steele and Violet, visited their father as did Maya and Justyce Johnson.
