Argos Add Another Gta Player

Mississauga – The Toronto Argonauts continue to find plenty of talented football players from the GTA. Mississauga native LB Kyle Jones has signed a practice roster agreement with the club making him the 10th player born and/or raised in the GTA on the club’s active and practice rosters.

Jones, who attended Woodlands High School – just minutes from the Argos’ practice facility at the University of Toronto at Mississauga – played his university football under former Argonaut Leroy Blugh at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec. He started 32 games over four years, including his freshman year, and was invited to participate in both CFL Evaluation Camp and the annual East West Bowl as a senior. A staunch defensive player who made close to 90 tackles over his final two seasons, Jones also handled some of the team’s punting duties.
