Argos Mourn Loss Of Bill Lively

The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is saddened by the loss of Bill Lively. He passed away peacefully on Thursday.

The Sault Ste. Marie native played four games with the 1948 Argos, but his impact on the organization was felt beyond his playing days as an active member with the Toronto Argonauts Alumni Association, having served on the Board of Directors.  Lively joined the Argos after a stellar athletic career in high school.

In addition to his work with the Argos Alumni, Lively was a school teacher at Pauline Avenue Public School in Toronto following his playing days, and served as both a Captain and President at the Weston Golf Club.

It is at that golf club where Lively will be remembered  as family and friends gather on Thursday, July 23 at 4:00 p.m. to celebrate his life.  Donations in honour of Bill may be made to Variety Village or to the Parkinson Society.
