Mississauga – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce that it has resigned WR Brad Smith to the club’s active roster, and signed WR Chad Rempel to the team’s practice roster.
Smith, who was released from the club’s practice roster last week, returns to the Argos for his third campaign with the team. Originally drafted by the Argos in the sixth round, 45th overall, of the 2007 CFL Draft, Smith played one game in Toronto before having his rights acquired by Montreal. He returned to the Boatmen in September 2008 and dressed in the Argos’ 2009 season opener in Hamilton. He will wear his familiar #80.
Rempel returns to Toronto where he played 10 games in 2007, including the 2007 East Final against Winnipeg at Rogers Centre. The 6-foot, 3-inch, 225-pound Saskatchewan native spent the off-season working with Canada’s four-man bobsleigh team and was a member of the championship team in Whistler, B.C.
