Toronto – There is no better way to start your weekend than Friday Night Football! For the first time in 2009, Friday Night Football, presented by Wendy’s, returns to Rogers Centre as the Toronto Argonauts battle their big city rivals from the west, the B.C. Lions, on August 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Come early to the game as the outdoor entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. Visit Gates 5, 11 & 13, or visit Section 117 during the game, to get your all-new 2010 Argos Cheerleaders Calendar for only $10. The entire team was shot by acclaimed photographer Craig Boyko and the results are hotter than ever before. Other outdoor entertainment includes the Toronto Sun Photowall at Gate 11 to take a picture with some of your 2009 Argos Cheerleaders, face painters at Gate 5 to show your Double Blue pride, Jones Soda samples, and 5000 cardboard replica helmets with an Argos heritage logo to help you cheer on your Toronto Argonauts as they tame the B.C. Lions.
To get things started at the game, Argos Cheerleader Mystie-Lyn will perform the national anthem. 50/50 proceeds will benefit the programs of The Argos Foundation. Fans are invited to stay in their seats at halftime as two lucky fans will participate in the Baconator Bootcamp Finals featuring the “Build a Baconator” contest, presented by Wendy’s. The first contestant to build a giant Baconator will go home with $25,000!
After the game, many of the Toronto Argonauts players and cheerleaders will See You on the Field for autographs and photos. As well, the Jack Astor’s Post Game Party will feature a special Argos Cheerleader Calendars Launch Party at 144 Front Street West – win great prizes and get your 2010 Cheerleader Calendar autographed by your favourite Argos Cheerleaders!
