Mississauga – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce that non-import offensive linemen Scott Evans and Jean-Francois Morin-Roberge have both signed practice roster agreements with the club. Both players joined their teammates at today’s practice as the Boatmen prepare to host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this Friday night at Rogers Centre.
This will be the fourth tour of duty with the Argos for Evans. The former OUA Lineman of the Year attended three previous training camps (’07, ‘08 & ’09) and even remained on the club’s practice roster into August of 2007 & 2008. He returned to Wilfrid Laurier University in each of those seasons to complete his CIS eligibility.
Morin-Roberge was a fourth round draft pick of the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft. Named to the All-CIS team at offensive tackle as a senior in 2007, he was later traded to Winnipeg as part of the deal that sent budding star receiver Adarius Bowman to the Blue Bombers.
