Mississauga – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is thrilled to announce that import RB Cory Boyd has signed with the club through 2011.
While starring for the South Carolina Gamecocks, Boyd became only the second player in school history to gain 1,000 rushing yards and receiving yards in a career. At 6-feet 1-inch and 218 pounds, the big back gained yards by making quick moves around an opponent or carrying the ball through one. As a senior, he rushed for nine touchdowns and 900 yards. The 24 year old was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2008 NFL Draft and spent time with the Denver Broncos.
