If the rain keeps up then these Argonauts are going to have to trade in their row boats for an ark! For the second straight day, the skies opened and heavy rains splashed down onto the turf. The players, however, weren’t complaining about the cool and damp conditions and instead relished the situation.

ArgosTV caught up with all five Argo quarterbacks following practice on Wednesday. Click here to watch video.
Argos’ draft pick WR #89 Spencer Watt has had two good days of practice. He’s been getting to the ball and making some great catches while also demonstrating outstanding athletic ability. Import WR #83 Brandon Rideau also made some plays today, positioning his body well and making tough catches look easy.
The quarterbacks are still learning the system. #12 Dalton Bell has shown his CFL experience and not really been phased by the inclement weather. He’s thrown tight balls and found open targets fairly consistently. Following practice, Barker maintained that all quarterbacks have done some really good things and some not-so-good things. Barker reiterated that no QB has pulled ahead of the others, yet.
Rookie DL #98 Broderick Stewart (import) had a big knock down during 12 on 12 drills. He was able to leverage his opponent and get a hand right into Bell’s throwing lane.
The defensive backs dropped a number of errantly thrown balls today but showed great instincts while getting into position. Finally, kickers #13 Grant Shaw and #17 Robbie Dehaze consistently hit field goals from 35 yards out. Both were 9 for 9 in difficult conditions.
Veterans Jeremaine Copeland, Byron Parker (who arrived at the field dressed head-to-toe in white) and Chad Lucas were all back to watch today’s workouts.
Rookie RB #25 Cory Boyd bumped his head on the turf on Wednesday and sat out today’s practice with some dizziness. He’s expected to be ok.
The final day of Rookie Camp is Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Huron Park in Mississauga. All practices are open to the public.
