MISSISSAUGA — The players returned to practice for the first time since the club’s 13-10 pre-season win over Hamilton.

Running back/slotback #32 Andre Durie showed some spark by making several big catches throughout the day.
Rookie DB #29 Ahmaad Smith and LB #41 Tang Bacheyie were caught singing a duet on the sidelines. Given Ahmaad’s singing prowess and his television background, it prompted some onlookers to start referring to him as Ahmaad ‘Hollywood’ Smith.
It was good to see DB #39 Matt Black, RB #25 Cory Boyd, WR #24 Ryan Christian, DB #11 Delroy Clarke, OL #61 Cedric Gagne-Marcoux, OL #56 Rob Murphy, and WR #89 Spencer Watt back on the field. All had suffered injuries that had kept them out of practice and out of the aforementioned pre-season game.
NOTES:
Defensive end #91 Ben Ishola will need surgery to repair his broken wrist (suffered against Hamilton) and RB #34 William Ford sustained a high ankle sprain and will be out indefinitely.
Toronto also announced Tuesday afternoon that import K/P Robbie Dehaze has been released.
The players are back on the field at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning at Huron Park as they prepare to take on the Montreal Alouettes this Saturday at McGill Stadium.
