MISSISSAUGA — Jim Barker met with members of the media today following the Argos’ morning practice and gave insight into the direction the club is heading at the quarterback position.
Barker announced that Cleo Lemon will start Saturday’s match-up in Montreal and will likely play the entire first half. Second-year CFLer Dalton Bell, who looked promising last week versus Hamilton, will play the majority of the second half and possibly the remainder of the game.
Barker said that former University of Miami standout Ken Dorsey could see time and maintained that former Queen’s University pivot Danny Brannagan will not see action.
The Argos will complete the pre-season this Saturday in Montreal at 1:00 p.m. CFL rules require that rosters be trimmed to their final size (46 man active + 5 practice roster + injured list) by June 24 at 3:00 p.m. at the latest. Cuts, however, may be filed anytime before that date and time.
