MISSISSAUGA – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to welcome DB Ray Cheatham and WR Curtis Walls to its roster.
Cheatham spent 2010 with the Calgary Stampeders where he played one game. Prior to his time out west, he suited up for the Kansas State Wildcats and played one stunning season for Independence Junior College as a freshman. A starter as a senior, he dressed in 34 career games for the Wildcats in three seasons. He arrived at Kansas State from Independence where he was named First-Team All-Conference and team M.V.P.
Walls was a star on the field and in the classroom while attending North Carolina A&T. He caught for more than 1,000 career yards as a member of the Aggies, was named All-Conference and invited to play in the college all-star game in California as a senior. Beside his football trophy case, Walls neatly stores his collection of awards for academic excellence. Included are recognitions from his school and department of discipline, and an invitation from the NCAA to attend a national leadership conference in 2007. He also has business aspirations and currently runs two start-up companies while also working as a trainer in his home town of Charlotte, N.C.
