MISSISSAUGA – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to welcome 2010 CFL draft choice, OL Nasser Jamal as well as import DL Nate Robinson to the roster.
The Argos selected Jamal in the 6th round of the 2010 CFL Canadian Draft. He returned to school for his final year of eligibility, completing his fifth year at Louisiana Lafayette, and played tackle, guard and centre. The 23-year old was born in Afghanistan but grew up in Queensborough, B.C., and he’s fluent in both English and Pashto.
Nate Robinson played his final two seasons at Akron after transferring from Rutgers. He played 21 games for the Akron Zips making 49 tackles and two sacks. The 6-foot, 4-inch, 300-pound defensive lineman has also spent time with the New York Giants and Jets of the NFL and the New York Sentinels of the UFL. Growing up in New Jersey he was friends with current Argos’ all-star RB Cory Boyd.
