The Stats Sheet: Week 4

Throughout the year, argonauts.ca will take a look at some of the statistical leaders following each game and compare how they match up against both their teammates and the rest of the Canadian Football League.

DEFENSIVE TACKLES – DE Ricky Foley

 

Canadian rush end Ricky Foley continued his strong play this week, racking up 7 defensive tackles and 1 quarterback sack.  Perhaps his biggest play came on the Blue Bombers’ opening drive when he pounced on a Fred Reid fumble.  The turnover would lead to a Toronto field goal and put the Boatmen on top 10-0.

DEFENSIVE TACKLES – LB Tristan Black

 

Middle linebacker Tristan Black came up with a huge second half, after filling in for Ejiro Kuale who was ejected at the beginning of the third quarter.  Black had a career-high 7 defensive tackles en route to one of his strongest defensive performances of his career.

ALL PURPOSE YARDS  – WR/KR Chad Owens

 

After a slow start in the first two weeks, Chad Owens is starting to look like the speedster that led the league in combined yards last season.  The second-year Argo once again helped give the Boatmen great field position, combining for 140 return yards and adding a team-leading 70 yards receiving.
