Argos wide receiver and kick returner Chad Owens inched closer to becoming the first player in pro-football history to record back-to-back 3,000-yard seasons with a solid performance Monday afternoon in Montreal.
Owens racked up a 184-yard day, catching six passes for 41 yards, returning 3 kickoffs for 56 yards and taking back six punts for 87 yards and a touchdown.
Undoubtedly Owens’ biggest play came in the first quarter when he dodged a group of Montreal tacklers, juking and spinning his way to break contain before racing for a 58-yard punt return touchdown.
