Argos wide receiver and kick returner Chad Owens inched closer to becoming the first player in pro-football history to record back-to-back 3,000-yard seasons with another productive performance against the Calgary Stampeders Friday night.
Owens racked up a 266-yard day, catching three passes for 43 yards, returning seven kickoffs for 191 yards and taking back three punts for 32 yards.
Owens’ biggest play of the game came on a 56-yard kickoff return in the third quarter to give the Argos great field position. He is now only 119 yards away from 3,000.
