Parker Sets Cfl Int Td Record

WINNIPEG – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club would like to congratulate CB Byron Parker on becoming the CFL’s all-time leader in interceptions return touchdowns with nine.

Parker’s second quarter touchdown moved him ahead of Argonauts great Dick Thornton, former Edmonton Eskimo and Saskatchewan Roughrider Malcom Frank and former Eskimo and Hamilton Tiger-Cats DB Jason Goss. 

The seventh-year CFLer’s record-breaking interception came in the second quarter of Toronto’s game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Winnipeg quarterback Buck Pierce threw an errant pass while under pressure from Toronto’s Lin-J Shell, and Parker stepped in front of Bombers receiver Aaron Hargreaves and took the ball 50 yards for the touchdown.
