The Toronto Argonauts Football Club are saddened to learn of the passing of Charlie ‘Chick’ Camilleri.
Camilleri played three seasons with the Boatmen from 1946-1948, winning two Grey Cups (’46 and ’47) while playing alongside greats such as Joe Krol, Zeke O’Connor and Nick Volpe.
After his playing days, Camilleri made his mark on the Canadian music scene as an executive with Columbia Records for 35 years.
Camilleri remained heavily involved with the Argonauts, spearheading numerous alumni gatherings and assisting in various charities organized by former CFL players.
